Savannah lived a very short life but packed a whole lot into it. Born in 1970, Savannah was a gorgeous blond with a delicious figure and the kind of mesmerizing on-screen presence that truly is star-quality.
Between 1990 and 1994 Savannah was catapulted to the heights of the adult industry and performed in over 100 movies during her career. She signed an exclusive contract with adult powerhouse Vivid Entertainment in 1991, and with their support and her exquisite performances she became famous rapidly. Unfortunately with the fame and the fortune came some serious drug habits that started to cost her a lot of her hard earned cash and she began having financial troubles, regardless of the large paychecks she was now receiving. Sadly due to the fact that she was gaining a reputation as someone who was becoming more and more difficult to work with, Vivid canceled their contract with her in 1992.
At one time Savannah became involved in a long term lesbian relationship with porn actress Jeanna Fine, but since Jeanna couldn't commit the relationship fizzled out and died. Through her short life Savannah spent time with celebrity boyfriends that allegedly included comedian Pauly Shore, Guns N' Roses Guitarist Slash and musician Gregg Allman. Thanks to her partying ways she developed quite a reputation.
It was on a warm summers night, July 11, 1994, that tragedy struck Savannah as she was driving home from a party. Apparently she was intoxicated and about one block from her home she drove her car into a fence resulting in a broken nose and some cuts on her face. After arriving home she sent her friend out with her rottweiler dog and then proceeded to shoot herself with a 9mm handgun in the head. She was still breathing when she was found, but after 9 hours in a coma she finally succumbed to her injuries and passed away on July 11th 1994.
Since her death there have been songs written about Savannah, as well as TV exclusive reports and a TV-movie chronicling her story has been produced. As one of the top pornstars at the time of her death, Savannah is still classed as #19 on the AVN Top 50 hottest pornstars list of all time.
The world was definitely robbed of a smoldering hot adult performer when Savannah took her own life for fear that she would never be able to perform on camera again. |
