Jewel's mother entered the industry as an adult actress by the name of De'Bella through her own part-owned production company Platinum X, causing Jewel some issue. However they resolved their dispute before the 2008 AVN Adult Expo as De'Bella decided to leave Platinum X Pictures.
Jewel has performed in more than 170 adult movies, directed more than 70 of them and received over 10 awards as well as being inducted into both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame.
