Born in November 1968 in sunny California, gorgeous tall blonde Janine Lindemulder graduated high school in 1987. She modeled for Penthouse magazine and appeared as the December 1987 Pet of the Month.
Newly married and eager to obtain a career in mainstream films she won her first role alongside Linda Blair (of The Exorcist) in a 1988 Italian film known as Moving Target in English-speaking countries. She landed roles in both Spring Break USA and Caged Fury, but neither movie proved successful.
As a result of her appearance in Penthouse, Janine Lindemulder took a role in 1992 for the Penthouse video 'Penthouse Satin & Lace' which marked her first step into the adult film industry.
In 1992 Janine took a full leap into the industry when she made her adult movie debut in Andrew Blake's Hidden Obsessions. She won the 1994 XRCO Award and AVN Award for Best All-Girl Sex Scene for her scene with sexpot pornstar Julia Ann. After just a couple of more movies she landed a contract with Vivid Video becoming one of the 'Vivid Girls'. Janine insisted that her work be on a female-female only basis and her penchant for lesbian work became her trademark. During her contract with Vivid Janine performed in more than fifty adult titles, winning several awards and becoming increasingly popular - particularly among female fans.
Alongside her adult film career, Janine was also busy forming half of the exotic dance duo Blondage with Julia Ann and they toured the popular strip club circuit together. During this time Janine split from her husband and became involved with Riki Rachtman and rock musician Vince Neil. Scandal struck when a homemade video tape of Janine, Vince Neil and Penthouse Pet Brandy Ledford fucking was leaked to the press and then released for sale.
Janine caught the attention of popular radio host Howard Stern and he cast her in the part of the wife of a camp director in his movie, Private Parts. She also appeared several times on his TV and radio shows as a featured guest. Often mingling with rock stars, Janine became the cover model for Blink-182's album Enema of the State and also appeared as a nurse in the video for their song 'What's My Age Again?"
In 1999, after 60 movies and a highly successful career in porn Janine decided to retire from the adult industry to take a job as a kindergarten teacher. Just a few months after retiring Janine won the 2000 AVN Award for Best All-Girl Sex Scene (alongside Julia Ann) as well as the 2000 AVN Award for Best Supporting Actress, for her role in Seven Deadly Sins. Not dissuaded from her decision Janine remained retired and in 2002 she was re-married to West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James. Their marriage produced some explosive footage for a documentary later produced for the Discovery Channel special Motorcycle Mania 3 that showed Janine throwing a vase at Jesse James and being arrested for alleged abuse. Janine and Jesse James divorced in 2004.
Janine returned to the adult industry and exploded back onto the scene with her AVN Nominated performance in Maneater. Maneater proved a completely new direction for Janine as it featured her first ever on-screen man-woman fuck scene. Janine explained she had previously only performed on camera with women because of her marriage. After she divorced, she had kept that rule in place, but since she was then single and eager to change her lifestyle, that rule was also changing.
Janine completed her eight movie contract with Vivid Video and signed with Digital Playground in 2005. Then came one of the biggest budgeted adult films of all time - Pirates! In it Janine starred opposite Jesse Jane and Evan Stone. Janine's plethora of tattoos helped authenticate her role as Serena in the popular adult pirate feature.
Janine had announced at the end of November 2005 that she would be once again retiring from porn, however when she won the 2006 AVN Award for Best All-Girl Sex Scene (for her scene with Jesse Jane in Pirates), as well as the 2006 AVN Award for Best Actress for her role in Pirates, Janine decided to stick around and see what the future held in store for her.
Sadly only a couple of additional movies have been produced featuring Janine Lindemulder since then, her last recorded porn movie was Janine Loves Jenna, released in 2007 to huge popularity among adult fans and critics. The movie was nominated for 16 awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Janine.
Recently Janine has been in the news for alleged legal problems. First in August 2008 Janine pled guilty to federal charges of willful failure to pay federal income taxes. Since Janine had been fully aware of her tax debt and proceeded with the purchase of a $647,000 house as well as two new vehicles, she faced up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine. In December Janine received her sentence of six months in federal prison followed by six months in a residential community corrections center. She was ordered to pay the $294,000 she owed the US government and was incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution at Victorville, in California.
Since her release in July 2009 Janine has allegedly been busy fighting a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband Jesse James, though she took time out to marry Jeremy Aikman in August 2009.
An AVN and XRCO Hall of Famer Janine has certainly made an indelible impression on the adult industry throughout her career.
